There's something undeniably charming about these old French cooking pots. Handcrafted from local terracotta and finished with a warm mustard glaze, they're the kind of everyday objects that have only become more beautiful with time.
Originally used over open fires in kitchens throughout southern France, these pots were often partially buried in cool cellar floors to help preserve food. That's why the upper half is glazed, while the bottom is left raw — showcasing the beautiful, earthy texture of the terracotta. We love the blackened rim and front side, showing signs of its use and resilience.
Today, we love them for entirely different reasons. Whether holding your favorite wooden spoons on the kitchen counter or styled on open shelving all on their own, they bring warmth, texture, and a lived-in feel to any space.
