This pillow features a beautiful vintage-inspired Toile de Jouy in anthracite gray and beige, paired with charcoal and cream ticking on the reverse. The combination brings together two of the textiles we return to most often when sourcing: the romantic detail of Toile de Jouy and the understated simplicity of traditional French ticking.

Toile de Jouy has long been associated with French interiors, known for its intricate pastoral scenes and delicate illustrations. Here, the muted palette gives the pattern a quieter quality, allowing it to work effortlessly alongside linen, natural wood, antique upholstery, and other collected textiles.

We love the contrast between the two sides. Use the Toile de Jouy side when you want a little more pattern, then turn it over for the simpler ticking stripe. It's an easy way to add depth and texture without making a room feel overly decorated.
